Friends support charity {{knitting}} event!

We are starting the year off by supporting our Bee Cave Public Library’s Knitting Club.   They are participating in a global initiative called “25,000 Tuques” (French for “25,000 Woolen Hats”).  They held an event earlier this month called Knit-In Night and recently were in the Statesman.

All month long, until the end of January, they are encouraging people to knit or crochet hats at home to bring to the library and even supplying loaner hat looms to take home.

They are also making welcoming notes that will be mailed with the hats.

Want to help?

The library will be accepting hats and notes until the end of January and we need your help at our next Friends meeting, February 10th at 4:00pm. We’ll be counting and boxing all the wonderful tuques and getting ready to ship. We will also finish the project by helping with some of the postage needed. This event is possible with the financial assistance provided by the Friends of the Bee Cave Public Library.

We couldn’t do it without your support! Thank you!
